Do you love your job?

I  like my job, but I’m constantly feeling that I should try something else. Maybe there is just so much more for me out there and I will never discover it if I don’t go and search for it.

Is this how all of us feel? Are one ever completely satisfied with the job direction one choose. How many people really enjoy their work so much that they would never consider something else?

I would really like to know what all of you do for a living and how much you like it. If you really like your job, also tell me why.

About Die reis

So....I really believe that I’m not the only person feeling this way. Like Lucius Annaeus Seneca  put it: "If one does not know to which port one is sailing, no wind is favorable." And that's exactly my problem...I have no idea where I want to be. I’m content in the moment, but is constantly restless about the future. I have too much of a hunger for success and fulfillment to just leave it there, but never in my life have I had a clear picture of where I want to be. Therefore I want to make life about the journey. I want to appreciate life for what it is, and not let the small things pass me by without noticing them. For the "where do I want to be?"...maybe I will find out along the way.

I felt way in every job/career choice (bartender/waitress/biotech researcher/youth coordinator) I had before finally deciding to take a part-time retail position while I prepare for grad school and do what I really love: editing and writing. I believe I’ll be satisfied when this becomes my primary job. I know so many people that feel like they should do something else. You’re not alone 🙂 Don’t short change yourself!
